Introduction
Career Compass Cards™ is a reflective tool designed to support individuals who feel disconnected, uncertain, or misaligned in their career journey. In a world where career choices are often shaped by expectations, pressure, and external definitions of success, many people gradually lose touch with their authentic self. They may be functioning, performing, and achieving—yet feel inwardly lost.
This deck invites a different kind of career conversation. Rather than asking, “What should I do next?”, Career Compass Cards™ asks a deeper question:
"Who am I becoming through my work?"
Rooted in ontological coaching, career development psychology, and narrative approaches, the deck works across six dimensions of human experience: Values, Beliefs, Questions, Emotions, Archetypes, and Actions. Each card offers a mirror—revealing what matters, what limits, what is felt, and what is ready to move.
Career Compass Cards™ does not provide answers or advice. Instead, it creates a safe, reflective space where individuals can listen to their inner voice, reclaim personal agency, and realign career decisions with identity and meaning. The process honours cultural diversity, emotional complexity, and the understanding that career development is not merely about jobs or roles, but about being, belonging, and becoming.
Whether used in counselling, coaching, education, or group settings, Career Compass Cards™ supports people in rediscovering clarity, authenticity, and direction—one honest conversation at a time.
Creator's Introduction
Jason ZECK Lee
Career Compass Cards™ is the seventh reflective card system created by Jason ZECK Lee, following more than two decades of work in coaching, training, and human development. With 28 years of experience in corporate training and executive coaching, Jason has worked extensively with professionals, leaders, and organisations navigating change, pressure, and identity transitions.
Across these years, one recurring pattern has remained consistent: people rarely struggle because they lack ability or opportunity — they struggle because they have lost connection with who they are.
Career Compass Cards™ was developed from this lived experience. It brings together Jason’s background in ontological coaching, career consulting, and executive development, offering a practical yet deeply reflective tool for exploring identity, meaning, and direction in work.
This deck is designed specifically for career professionals, as well as educators and facilitators who work with individuals experiencing career confusion, transition, or misalignment. Rather than providing advice or solutions, the cards support reflective dialogue — helping clients reconnect with their values, recognise limiting beliefs, understand emotional patterns, and take identity-aligned action.
As Jason’s seventh card deck, Career Compass Cards™ represents the integration of decades of professional practice, refined through real conversations, real clients, and real transformation. It reflects a simple belief at the heart of his work:
Career clarity does not begin with answers — it begins with self-awareness and presence.
